Cool & Energy-saving ─ yarn/fabric

Due to the greenhouse effect and global warming, the average temperature of the earth keeps rising, and the highest temperature in the summer reaches higher and higher records. During such severely hot summers, the use of air-conditioning increases, and results in higher consumption of electricity and emission of greenhouse gases, which worsens the global warming.

LIBOLON’s R&D Center utilizes its advantages of the factory, and researches the selection and formulation of raw material compositions, polymerization, spinning to thread specifications, fabric composition, dyeing treatment, and property inspection, in a comprehensive procedure, in order find the best formula and processing conditions to develop the cooling and energy-saving fiber—CoolBest II®, and to give it the stable and effective heat-radiating and cooling effects.

LIBOLON nanometer cooling and energy-saving fiber CoolBest II® can effectively reduce the wearing temperature. The temperature gap may reach 1-2℃ when the outside temperature is below 35℃. Therefore, the air-conditioner could be set 1-2℃ higher. According to the statistics of the Energy Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, 6% power consumption will be saved if the air-conditioner temperature is raised by 1℃, and 1 billion KWs of electricity may be saved in the case of Taiwan! 660,000 tons of CO2 emission will be reduced if one KW of electricity produces 660 g CO2.

Wearing LIBOLON nanometer cooling and energy-saving fiber products will bring you the cooling and comfortable wearing feeling, and let you contribute to the environmental protection at the same time.

Antistatic ─ yarn/fabric

When conducting normal activities, it is inevitable for human body to generate friction with clothes and sofa, resulting in static electricity. Polyester is one of the most widely used synthetic fibers for textile purpose. However, since the polyester is a considerably good insulator, the aforementioned static electricity generated by friction will get stranded in the polyester surface. When in contact with metal or other conductors, the static electricity will be rapid taken away to generate electric currents. Therefore, we often have the sensation of being electrically shocked. Such phenomenon is more apparent in dry whether.

LIBOLON’s R&D Center tried to improve the raw material, and look for the best combination formula, in order to develop durable, washable, and anti-static electricity the polyester fiber fabric, thus improving the wearing comfortableness and ensuring consumers’ health and safety.

LIBOLON’s antistatic fiber fabric can be used as the lining for suits, coats or jackets to avoid absorptive adhesion in activity, or on household articles, such as sofa and curtain, to reduce the disruption of dirt adhesion. In addition, it can be used for car interior decoration, car seat cover, filtering cloth, protection cover, or others to reduce the damage of electric shock and electrical interference.

Eco-friendly materials─ particles/yarn/fabric

Upholding the awareness of environment protection and natural ecology, LIBOLON developed the eco-friendly fiber RePET® , which is recycled from used PET bottles, and the energy-saving yarn Ecoya®. These products can effectively reduce the power consumption during production, CO2 emission and COD content of the discharged waste water by eco-friendly recycling technology and virgin yarn.

At present, LIBOLON is further promoting eco-friendly production activities and unfolding the EcoFlying recycling plan, which recycles polyester and nylon wastes including used yarn, cloth rags, finished fabrics, products, and other polymers and nylon plastic products by bringing together the forces of various relevant industries. These products can be recycled repeatedly to reduce the burden of wastes on the earth and the use of dwindling petrochemical raw materials.
